Our Mission

At Kids Hygiene Project, we believe every child deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for. Something as simple as a toothbrush, soap, or deodorant can make a powerful difference in a child’s day—helping them feel comfortable at school and proud of who they are. Our mission is to provide hygiene kits and education to children in need, supporting their health, dignity, and confidence so they can focus on learning and growing.

What We Do

At Kids Hygiene Project, we provide hygiene kits and education to children in need. Each kit includes essential items like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and other daily hygiene products that support health and confidence.

We work to ensure that children have what they need to feel clean, comfortable, and ready to learn at school. In addition to providing kits, we also help raise awareness about the importance of hygiene and self-care for overall well-being.

Every donation goes directly toward purchasing supplies and assembling hygiene kits for children in our community. Just $5 provides one complete hygiene kit for a child in need.

Our Story

Kelsi Fugit, Founder & Executive Director

Kelsi Fugit is the Founder and Executive Director of Kids Hygiene Project. A proud military spouse and mother of two, she founded the organization after recognizing a simple but significant need in the community—many children lacked access to basic hygiene essentials.

What began at her kitchen table as small hygiene kits filled with everyday necessities and words of encouragement has grown into a nonprofit serving children throughout Southern Maryland. Under Kelsi’s leadership, Kids Hygiene Project partners with schools, community organizations, and local businesses to provide free hygiene kits and hygiene education, helping ensure children have the essentials they need to feel confident, healthy, and ready to learn.

Kelsi is passionate about removing barriers that prevent children from thriving. She believes no child should have to worry about something as basic as having a toothbrush, deodorant, or other hygiene necessities. Her vision is to create communities where every child is treated with dignity, supported with compassion, and empowered to succeed.

Through collaboration, education, and the generosity of supporters, Kelsi continues to lead Kids Hygiene Project with one goal in mind: making a lasting difference in the lives of children, one hygiene kit at a time.

Look good. Smell good. Feel good. ❤️
